Welcome to Nizhniy Novgorod State Technical University!

NSTU is one of the oldest and biggest universities of the Russian Federation. In 2007 NSTU celebrated its ninetieth anniversary.

Nowadays students from different parts of our great country and from all over the world choose our university because they are sure in the quality, relevance and solemnity of the knowledge they are given here.

Our strategy is to create new educational formats: from the system of remote education to supreme electronic (virtual) systems; coupling performance criterion of education in NSTU with employers' requirements. The main activity of NSTU is preparation of highly skilled specialists for science and industry.

We can boast academic achievements having national and international recognition, a wide range of academic and professional programming at the baccalaureate, master's and doctoral levels. We offer: 27 baccalaureate directions, 67 specialties, 22 master's directions, 60 directions in postgraduate courses, 7 directions for doctor's degree, MBA program training, professional retraining institute, and many other things. We can provide our students with a part-time job during their studies at our university if necessary.

Our new hostel, designed for 535 living places (total area of which is 7200 square meters), is provided with its own library, rooms for independent training, and a gym. This hostel is situated not far from the 6th building of our university, where you can find a well-equipped NSTU sport complex, where various regional and international competitions and festivals are often carried out. We endeavor to prepare the university community for full participation in the global society of the twenty-first century.

Owing to its favorable location, Nizhniy Novgorod has been a great trading and cultural centre for many centuries. This fact caused the variety of cultures and religious trends, which can be observed at contemporary Nizhniy Novgorod. Here Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism and many other creeds co-exist in harmony.

Cultural life of our city is varied and rich. Being one of the biggest cities of the Russian Federation, Nizhniy Novgorod is frequently chosen for carrying out all sorts of exhibitions, presentations, concerts and other cultural and entertaining activities.

Nizhniy Novgorod is not only an important industrial, economical and cultural centre of our country, but also a very beautiful city, where hospitality is a good tradition and guests from all over the world are welcome.
